Before

After

Our cryogenic rehab process:

  1. First, the tank is stripped of all external piping before being sandblasted and primed.
  2. Vacuum integrity is checked for both inner and outer vessels. We make sure to check
the vacuum on a warm tank and when the tank is cooled with liquid nitrogen.
  3. Vacuum leaks are isolated and repaired using helium and a mass spectrometer.
  4. Insulation (Perlite) is added to annular space as necessary.
  5. The vacuum valve, Hoke valve, thermocouple tube, and O-ring are all replaced with  new components.
  6. We then install all new polished stainless steel piping, safeties, pressure building coil,
    regulators, and gauges.
  7. Finally, the finished tank is painted using a 2-part polyurethane coating and
pressure-tested for proper operation with liquid nitrogen before shipping.
